
Terms of the Competition
Eligibility
Any individual who holds amateur status and is not in the top 30 of The Indian Golf Union’s Order of Merit and is at least 21 years of age as on the date of the competition.
Entries
Entries will be by invitation only. Entries received may be accepted or not accepted at the sole discretion of the Tournament Committee and/or the organizers.
Format
This is an individual modified stableford competition. Points will be calculated as follows:
- Net Albatross: +8 points
- Net Eagle: +6 points
- Net Birdie: + 2 points
- Net Par: 0 points
- Net Bogey: -1 point
- Net Double Bogey or Worse: -3 points
Draws
The draws will be made by the Tournament Committee. The Tournament Committee hereby specifies that the start of the competition as a ‘shotgun’ start. Players will be required to start only from the tee assigned to them in the draw.
Winners
Players with the highest number of points as calculated as per the modified stableford points system given above.
Ties
Ties will be decided as below:
- Ties will be decided based on countback method by matching score cards over the last 9, 6, 3 and last hole/s.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the winner will be determined by a draw of lots.
Prizes
- Winner: 0-9 handicap category
- Winner: 10-18 handicap category
- Winner: 19 & above handicap category
- Winner: Overall Net
- Winner: Overall Gross
Note: If a player wins the overall net prize, he/she will not be eligible for the handicap category prize. Categories will be determined based on Course Handicap before applying 75% allowance.
Rules of Golf
The competition will be played according to the current Rules of Golf as promulgated by the R&A Ltd.

- If the tie is still not resolved, the winner will be determined by a draw of lots.
Handicaps
All participants must have a valid handicap/handicap index issued by an IGU affiliated club or by WHS or by GHIN. Course handicap will be computed from an index if provided, else the Tournament Committee will assign a course handicap as it deems appropriate. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept, modify or reject a handicap/handicap index furnished by a player.
Handicap Allowance
75% of the calculated/assigned course handicap is the handicap allowance for a player. The maximum handicap course handicap allowed will be 28 for Men and 32 for Women, before applying the 75% allowance.
Tees
All players will play from the competition tees as specified for Men & Women by the Tournament Committee.
Referee
There is a tournament referee, Mr Hari Achanta (9845043880) who can be called on mobile phone for any on-course clarification on the Rules.
